Twitter pals: Miely Cyrus, pictured at the Kids' Choice Awards at the weekend, has praised touring Charlie Sheen after re-joining the micro-blogging site
It seems Charlie Sheen and Miley Cyrus have joined a mutual appreciation society.
The 18-year-old singer and actress heaped praise on the troubled actor as she made her return to Twitter after a 17-month hiatus this week.
Sheen described Miley as 'epic' in a reply after the former Disney star explained her decision for setting up a new account was to 'follow' Charlie and for her fans.
Tweeting on Sunday night, using her new account gypsyhearttour, she wrote: 'Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!
'I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow Charlie Sheen.'
Sheen, 45, who is currently amidst of a live tour, replied the following evening, posting: 'Dear Miley, Welcome back to Twitter! Always felt you were epic! Now you proved it! Thanks for the love.'
And Miley was apparently delighted by the reply.

She soon tweeted back: 'I always felt the same about you! You have taught me everything I know about WINNING. Duh!'
And Miley, whose parents Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish called off their divorce plans last month, couldn't stop herself gushing about Sheen.
She then posted another message making reference to the Two And A Half Men star: 'Makin dinner for my fam right now. Honey sesame chicken, garlic rice & salad. There's only one thing missing & that's Charlie Sheen!'
Meanwhile, a company with ties to Sheen has moved to trademark 22 of Sheen's catchphrases, including Duh, Winning, Vatican Assassin, Tiger Blood and Rock Star From Mars.

Much like their creator, the applications aim high, with trademark protection sought for everything from bras, drinks, electronic games, candy and even gambling machines.
Records show the company, Hyro-gliff, filed trademark applications between March 19 and 22.
The company also seeks to trademark Sheen's name and signature, and his nicknames for his home, Sober Valley Lodge, and his girlfriends, who he dubs as Sheen's Goddesses.
Sheen's spokesman says any potential uses of the trademarks, if granted, will be determined later.
