Charming gift: Kate's favourite bracelet was a present from Camilla

Touching present: Kate wore her new bracelet at Armed Forces Day and at Wimbledon

The Duchess of Cambridge might have the most famous engagement ring in the world.

But recently the accessory everyone has been talking about has been the gold bracelet Kate has started wearing on her right wrist.

The chain and charm made their first public appearance last weekend when Kate and William attended Arms Forces Day.

And it was also on display while Kate was doing the Mexican wave in the Royal Box at Wimbledon on Monday.

The bracelet was a touching present from Camilla Parker Bowles, Kate's new step-mother-in-law, who has also worn a similar version of the bracelet on her wrist.

A source close to the young couple told The Daily Express it was a wedding present, before hastily insisting: 'We’re not saying from whom, as it was a personal wedding gift.

'It’s a private matter.'

The disc charm has Catherine's monogram on one side, and Camilla's on the other.

Both are Cs are under a coronet, but Kate's C has an extra curl, while Camilla's is surrounded by a circle.

The gift shows the close tie between the two women.

Camilla famously took Kate out for lunch at Koffmans in the Berkeley Hotel shortly before her wedding, with Pippa Middleton and Camilla's daughter Laura Lopez.

They also went to the ballet together shortly before the Royal Wedding.

Charles wife has given Kate valuable advice about how to adapt to being a part of the Royal family and also described her future step-daughter in law as 'a lovely girl'.

The affection is clearly mutual as the new Mrs Windsor has been wearing her bracelet with pride.
