He joined Corrie 13 months ago but it is only recently that Oliver Mellor has cemented his status as The Street's new hunk.
The 30-year-old actor, who plays Dr. Matt Carter, has opened up about the pressure that comes with being a heartthrob.
He told the Daily Mirror: 'I've heard the word hunk rather a lot in the last year - that seems to be the favourite label for me, and I'm not complaining.
'The Street's hunk is a great title, but I have to live up to it.'

Since he moved onto The Street he has become more determined than ever to keep improving his muscular physique.
The former personal trainer has worked out with co-star Shobna Gulati in between takes and admits: 'Since I joined Corrie, I've been even more conscious of looking after myself.'
And while his alter-ego Matt Carter is winning hearts on Coronation Street, Oliver is settled with girlfriend of three years Charlotte Bury.
The PR executive is apparently not the jealous type, but Oliver says she was not ecstatic to hear her man would be locking lips with gorgeous Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina McIntyre on the long-running ITV soap.
'I don't think Charlotte was too thrilled with the fact my on-screen girlfriend was going to be Michelle Keegan but, let's face it, the doc was always going to get a love interest,' he said.
'As an actor that's what you hope for, so we had spoken about it beforehand, and now she's really pleased for me because it's like a promotion.'
