Frock horror! Tulisa struggles to sit down in her HUGE polka-dot meringue outfit on The X Factor final

By J J Anisiobi

The wow factor: Tulisa had a fight on her hands with this polka-dot dress

Dermot O'Leary said that this was the going to be the biggest X Factor final ever.

Tulisa took this statement literally however with her choice of frock for tonight's X Factor final.

The youngest ever X Factor judge wore a huge dress for the grand final and may have been regretting her choice minutes after the show began.

As the X Factor judges were introduced to the stage Tulisa surprised viewers with her strange and bizarre outfit.

The N-Dubz star wore a black and pink polka-dot dress that was part covered in netting and seemed to be stuck in an awkward position.

The 23-year-old also suffered a massive wardrobe malfunction as her knickers kept flashing up as her short dress was riding high from the front.

As she tried to settle down into her seat on the judging panel she then wrestled to get her dress under the table.

Tulisa was seen continuously patting the outfit down while trying to maintain her dignity.

The flamenco style dress needed the assistance of Louis Walsh as he joined the fight to restrain it from embarrassing Tulisa further.

The dress received negative feedback from fans on Twitter with one user saying it looked like 'Tulisa wore a vile Viennetta.'

Rival judge Kelly Rowland looked more elegant in a simple floor-length grey dress.

Gary Barlow stuck to the status quo and wore a red velvet blazer with smart trousers and Louis opted for a dark suit.

Later in the show Tulisa returned to the spotlight to duet with her group Little Mix.

The mentor was able to get out of her difficult dress for a short-while at least as she belted out a mash up of Empire State Of Mind and If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys.

She wore a short black dress with large shoulders and looked to be enjoying the chance to be part of a female group for a change.

Tulisa's 'little muffins' were mostly in tune but were slightly overshadowed by the judges' strong vocals.

After the performance Little Mix member Jade said: 'We wouldn’t have wanted to do a duet with anyone else. This has been the most amazing day of our lives and we couldn’t have done it without Tulisa.'
