I'm gonna wash that man right out of my... wig: South Pacific's Samantha Womack's fake hairline exposed

By Daily Mail Reporter

Ahoy there! Samantha Womack posed at a photocall for musical South Pacific today at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

She's supposed to be washing that man right out of her hair... but in this case, it was a fake.

Ex-Eastender Samantha Womack suffered a wig malfunction while meeting officers and crew aboard HMS Victory.

The soap star, who has been tipped to be a judge on Britain's Got Talent, donned a wig and Naval costume to promote the musical, South Pacific.

But gusts picked up aboard the ship at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, in Hants, leaving Samantha's fake hair blown back and her wig exposed.

However, the 39-year-old was unruffled by the winds and posed with crew ahead of the January tour of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.

Samantha stars at The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, Hants, alongside Alex Ferns, once Britain's most hated soap villain during his stint in Walford.

One onlooker aboard the ship said: 'It was blowing a right hooley and was obviously causing some problems with Sam's hair.

'But she carried on smiling and posing like a true professional - she wasn't bothered at all.'

Samantha said: 'I'm loving every minute of playing Nellie. I love the music, the part and the past.

'It's been a really good job for me and I'm looking forward to bringing it to Southampton in the new year.'

The show, which is set on a tropical island during the Second World War, premiered in London in August before being toured around the UK.

Womack has been starring in the musical at London's Barbican since August.
