'She looks like she's just done the walk of shame': Fans react to Carol Vorderman's heavy makeup and bed hair

She's known for her groomed appearance, but Carol Vorderman was sporting a very different look yesterday.

The 51-year-old caused a Twitter storm with fans quick to comment on the Loose Women presenter's 'bed hair' and dark makeup when she appeared on the ITV show.

The drama even became a top trending topic on the social networking site

Carol's brunette locks looked as though they hadn't been brushed and her smokey peepers were covered in black eyeliner and eyeshadow.

It was a far cry from her slick hairstyle and lighter makeup on Friday's show.

One viewer tweeted: 'Carol Vorderman looks like she's come straight from a night out.'

A show spokesman told The Sun in response to the comment: 'Carol is a complete professional. She was trying out a new haircut.'

Homebound: Carol continued to rock the bed hair as she left the ITV studios

As Carol left the ITV studios, she continued to rock her messy barnet, but had changed out of her figure-hugging blue dress.

She donned a blue jumper, jeans and an oversize coat.

The star paired it with lace-up black boots.
