A real Hollywood lady: Kate Winslet looks breathtaking at the premiere of Titanic 3D 15 years after the film made her a global star

Stepping back in time: Kate Winslet looked stunning as she arrived at the Titanic 3D premiere in London this evening

It may be 15 years since she played the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater, but Kate Winslet still looks like she could get away with portraying the first-class socialite.

The 36-year-old actress looked fantastic as she arrived at the world premiere of Titanic 3D at London's Royal Albert Hall this evening.

The re-release of the classic film comes 15 years after it first wowed cinema audiences across the globe, however someone noticeably absent from the red carpet was Leonardo DiCaprio.

Still got it: The mother-of-two showed off her enviable figure in a floor-length black dress, and how she looked at the Oscars in 1998

Winslet, who portrayed vulnerable Bukater on her journey aboard the RMS Titanic, walked the red carpet in a black floor-length gown that highlighted her enviable figure.

The glamorous gown featured silver embellished shoulders, a plunging neckline and diamond detail at the star's waist.

The mother-of-two kept her make-up simple, wearing a slick of red lipstick and wore her blonde hair in an old-fashioned up-do.

She completed her look with some dazzling jewels from English jewellery house, Goode & Son.

Still friends: The actress posed on the red carpet alongside director of the hit film James Cameron

This included a pair of 1950s diamond Day and Night earrings and bracelet accompanied with a fancy 1940s yellow square cut cocktail ring.

As she posed with her hands on her hips, Winslet oozed confidence and was no doubt eager to watch the film that catapulted her to Hollywood stardom.

However, her current beau Ned RockNRoll was clearly keen to stay out of the spotlight and let his famous girlfriend soak up the limelight on her own.

The couple were pictured leaving a hotel in London today with Ned wearing a simple black suit and open white shirt.

Once Winslet had completed her red carpet duties, her dark-haired boyfriend was back by her side as they headed into the venue together with their arms around one another.

Also walking the red carpet was her onscreen husband in the film, Billy Zane.

The 46-year-old actor, who portrayed millionaire Caledon Hockley in the movie, was joined by his Croatian model girlfriend Jasmina Hdagha as he greeted fans in the British sunshine.

Another star of the film: Billy Zane arrived wearing a black suit and stayed close to girlfriend Jasmina Hdagha

Wearing a smart black suit with a blue shirt and skinny tie, Zane flashed a huge grin for photographers while the mother of his daughter gazed at him lovingly.

Someone else who stayed close to the lady in his life was director James Cameron.

The 57-year-old posed on the red carpet with his fifth wife Suzy Amis - who he met after casting her in Titanic.

Catching up: The 57-year-old director was keen to have his photo taken with the stars of his film

A special moment: Winslet is no doubt very grateful to Cameron for casting her in the film that catapulted her to Hollywood stardom

The 50-year-old actress, who played Roses' granddaughter Lizzy Calvert in the blockbuster, also wore a floor-length gown but opted for a silver grey strapless style that included a short train.

Cameron kept his look simple wearing a black suit but brightened things up by wearing a blue tie that was significantly the same colour as the diamond of the Heart of the Ocean necklace that features in the movie.

The grey-haired professional spent time catching up with Winslet and Zane on the red carpet and was no doubt feeling proud of his film's success - even all these years on.

Always time for the fans: The blonde spent time signing autographs but still managed to strike a pose

Perfect venue: The Royal Albert Hall seemed like the ideal place to host the world premiere

And famous fans of the film also showed up to catch a glimpse of the story wearing their 3D glasses.

Made In Chelsea stars Catherine 'Caggie' Dunlop and Francesca 'Cheska' Hull both wore very different dresses to the event and even opted for opposing skin tones.

While Dunlop looked glamorous in a multi-coloured maxi dress, Hull appeared to have applied a bit too much fake tan which acted as a stark contrast with her black outfit.

Unlike Dunlop, the curly-haired TV star opted to show off her legs and teamed the cute dress with a pair of studded peep-toe heels.

Two other females who appeared to have made a lot of effort with their appearances was upcoming Doctor Who star Jenna-Louise Coleman and Rochelle Rose - who played the Countess of Rothes in the film.

The brunette showed off her slim frame in a pale patterned floor-length dress which she teamed with costume jewellery including a large ring.

Coleman also chose a simple dress wearing a black strapless garment that featured a long khaki skirt.

I was in it too! Actor Bill Paxton, who played Brock Lovett in the film, arrived with his wife Louise Newbury

But despite up and coming actors being on the carpet, stars of the film that fans may not necessarily remember came to celebrate the re-release too.

Bill Paxton, who played the supporting role of Brock Lovett, arrived with his wife Louise Newbury, while Jason Barry who played Tommy Ryan in the movie, was there too.

Guests will be donning their 3D glasses to watch the emotional film which follows the tragic love story between Winslet and DiCaprio's characters.

Despite the film receiving bad press before it came out, Titanic went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time taking $2.7 billion ($1.843 billion) at the box office worldwide.

The re-release of the film on April 4 is to commemorate the centenary of the Titanic setting sail on April 10, 1912.
