'The diet starts now!' Josie Gibson has returned to her size 16 body and has told friends she is determined to get back to a size 12 after seeing these holiday pictures of herself

She lost three stone in just three months last year, slimming down to a size 12.

But it seems former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson has fallen off the diet wagon, as pictures of the star on holiday in Ibiza earlier this year show.

The 27-year-old star is now back up to a size 16, and is said to have told friends that she is desperate to shed the pounds once again after seeing the images of herself in a hot pink bikini on the sunshine break.


A source told Closer magazine: 'Josie cried after seeing holiday snaps of herself on the beach. She feels embarrassed she has got big again, and said, "I'm devastated when I look in the mirror - it makes me cringe.'

Last January, after following a diet which saw low-calorie meals delivered to her directly, Josie lost three stone in three months - taking her from 16.5 stone to 13.5 stone.

She then regained some of the weight in March after splitting from boyfriend, and fellow Big Brother star, John James Parton.

However, by September, Josie had succeeded in losing the weight again, and was at her lightest of 12.5stone.

But after breaking her ankle in February, Josie has since gained two stone, and now weighs 14.5stone.

The source added: 'Everything seemed to go wrong at once with her diet. She'd probably gained weight over Christmas anyway, bit the injury derailed her exercise routine.

'And with work needing to be done on her new house in Bristol, she's been living on burgers and chips, KFC, pizzas, kebabs and ice-cream.

'She can't believe she's allowed herself to pile on the weight again, and she's desperate to slim down.'

Now Josie is said to have told friends and fiancé Luke Sanwo that she is determined to get back down to a size 12 ahead of her wedding, vowing, 'The diet starts now!'

The source added: 'Josie is launching herself into exercise. She's not allowed to run yet, but she wants to start gently exercising at least three times a week and has banned junk food.'

Big Brother star, Josie Gibson is wasting no time in showing the world just how smitten she is with her new man, Luke.

And 26-year-old Josie doesn't just believe that actions speak louder than words because as well as kissing her boyfriend in public, the TV presenter also spoke volumes with her clothing.

Having recently shed over three stone, Bristol-born Josie chose to wear a neon pink t-shirt with the slogan be happy emblazoned across it.


The blonde reality TV star teamed it with a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and matching pink flip flops.

She certainly seemed to believe in her quote of the day as she strolled arm in arm with 24-year-old Luke.

The new man in her life is a far cry from Josie's last squeeze, fellow Big Brother contestant John James Parton.

The Australian housemate hooked up with the former financial sales representative whilst they were in the house and enjoyed a high profile romance and several magazine deals once they left the famous residence up until March this year.

Dark-haired Luke appeared at ease with the attention after Josie treated him to a celebrity night out with Kerry Katona last week.

Moving on: Josie has lost over three stone since her split with John James Parton in March this year, and has found a new man


Luke, who wore a pair of beige trousers with a black t-shirt and dark sunglasses laughed and joked around with his famous girlfriend as they ate ice creams and stopped for a kiss every now and then.

The pair seemed to be oblivious to the fact that they were being photographed as they shared several intimate moments of nose-touching and gazing lovingly at one another.

It was certainly a quieter time spent together compared to their night out last Thursday when they photographed leaving Lebanese eatery, Maroush after enjoying dinner there with Celebrity Big Brother star, Kerry Katona and Danielle Brown, sister of Spice Girl Melanie B.

Who's that girl? Former Big Brother star Josie Gibson showed off her noticeably slimmer frame on Let's Do Lunch With Gino And Mel last week


She said in an interview earlier this month that she's a 'comfortable' size 16.

But former Big Brother star Josie Gibson is almost unrecognisable since her reality TV days, showing off her much slimmer frame as she appeared on ITV's new lunchtime show Let's Do Lunch With Gino And Mel.

Josie, 25, covered up in a printed blue kaftan-style top for her appearance on the show last week, but her weight loss was clear to see.

The pretty blonde said earlier this month that she was happy enough with her size 16 figure, but added she is considering having surgery to sort out her breasts.

She said: 'I've given up drinking and it's marvellous. Your skin's better, the whites of your eyes look better and you feel better. I'm a size 16 and I'm comfortable.'

'But I'm going to get my boobs done as one's a D cup and the other's three times smaller. I'd never have lipo - I exercise to tone up.

'I'm shaped like a Christmas tree and one boob's bigger than the other so I'd only give myself four out of ten. I love my eyes, but I really have to work on my bottom half.'

Josie was prompted to lose weight after coming out of the Big Brother house in 2010, and managed to slim down from 16st 7lb to 13st 7lbs.

Talking about losing weight, Josie said: 'I came out of the Big Brother house looking like Ten Ton Tessie. I put on a good two stone in the house. I didn't stop eating in there. I love my food.

'Obviously I wanted to lose weight as I'd turned into a bit of a heifer.

'Now I just feel really fit and healthy.

‘Before I lost weight I was nearly size 20 and my only exercise was partying. I've tried all the diets - I did the Cambridge Diet and lasted from the meeting until I got home!

'They gave me all the bits and pieces but I ate a week's worth of food on the spot, then stopped for a kebab.'

Since winning last year's Big Brother, and then taking part in Ultimate Big Brother, Josie has been working hard to further her presenting career, and has been fronting Channel 5 magazine show OKTV this week.

Before presenting her first show, Josie tweeted her followers: 'Omg super excited about my first proper presenting gig!

'Bit nervous but Mr Brazier really helping me. He's the nicest guy ever!!!'

She proudly posed for pictures in a bikini after losing three stone in January.

And while it appears as though Josie Gibson has gained back the weight, it hasn't stopped her proudly parading on the beach in a bikini.

The Big Brother winner wore a skimpy red two-piece during a hen's weekend in Marbella, Spain.


The 26-year-old looked like she is well and truly over her split from John James Parton, laughing and smiling in the sunshine.

Later Josie tucked in to a big lunch at a cafe with a friend, enjoying a large beer to wash it down.

The Bristol blonde announced in late March that she and her former Big Brother housemate had parted ways.

Speaking to Now magazine, she revealed that the Australian taunted her about her weight.

'He put me through so many mind games. He used to go on about my weight all the time,' she said. 'He would take the p**s out of my looks and make me feel ugly. He used to tell me I was thick.

'I can only be myself and I can't always be everyone's cup of tea.

'I think I'm a bit like Marmite, really. People either love me or f****** hate me. If people like me, they like me; if they don't - they can f*** off!'

In January Josie dropped from from 16st 7lbs to 13st 7lbs.

At the time she credited her weight-loss to eating healthily and exercising between three and four times a week.

A friend told Mail Online that she had re-gained some pounds in recent months, and rather than desperately trying to lose the weight fast, Josie is embracing her size 16 figure and designing a plus-size clothing range for Curvissa.
