Bend-er it like Beckham! David hits the town for a boys night out with James Corden, Freddie Flintoff, Jason Statham (and Rosie came too)

David Beckham is back in London - possibly for good - so no wonder his famous pals took him out for a night on the town.

The football star was spotted leaving Little House club in Mayfair on Thursday night, closely followed by celebrity friends James Corden, Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall, Dave Gardner and Jason Statham - who took model girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with him.

But, as a father of four and with the prospects of getting up early the next day to take care of his brood, David still looked pretty fresh-faced after his night out with the lads.

David looked every inch the heartthrob as he casually emerged from the bar and headed over a taxi with his famous friends in tow.

Donning a Baker Boy cap and navy peacoat, the 37-year-old showed off a little hint of his hipster style with a denim shirt that poked out from underneath his grey jumper.

Newly crowned King of British comedy Jack Whitehall kept warm in a woolly hat while cricketer turned boxer Freddie Flintoff, sported an unusual accessory, an arm brace, no doubt earned during his recent fight debut.

They were joined by funnyman James Corden who wrapped up warm in a long black coat with satin trim, as David's best friend, football manager Dave Gardner, joined the lads in the awaiting taxi.

Jason Statham also attended, but couldn't bear to leave Burberry model girlfriend Rosie home alone, so she provided the glamour on the boys night out.

Rosie, 25, stole the show in a duffle style coat with trimmed with fur on the collar and sleeves, and her favourite leather trousers.

The action movie star protectively lead his girlfriend by the hand to an awaiting taxi as he presumably followed his other famous friends to the next stop on their night out.

David's contract with LA Galaxy has run out and he is believed to be returning to Europe to play for at least two seasons, but the family's plans are yet to be announced.

Rumours say the Beckhams are looking to settle back into London, and is has been reported that Victoria already viewed a townhouse in the salubrious Ham Common area and is believed to be in the process of making an offer.

The 38-year-old fashion designer was also spotted having a tour of the nearby Harrodian School with her sons.

The exclusive £6,000 a term school is best known for its famous alumni including Robert Pattinson, Tom Sturridge and Caggie Dunlop, so the Beckham boys certainly wouldn't feel out of place.

The famous couple might be swayed by the calibre of neighbours she would have in the upmarket area, which includes MP Zac Goldsmith and The Who guitarist Pete Townshend.

Those directioners twitter slurs, which refer to John Lenon's widow being responsible for The Beatles split in 1970, come as country singer Swift was spotted backstage at the X Factor final in Manchester.

Fans have become worried after the Never Ever Getting singer, 22, flew Harry from New York to the UK in her private jet, with the rest of the band flying on a scheduled flight - despite sources saying there was plenty of room.

Tension reportedly starting boiling between Harry and his bandmates after he abandoned them to travel back from New York on Taylor's private jet instead.

One Direction performed their latest hit at the Manchester Central arena to thousands of screaming teens.

The five heartthrobs returned to the X Factor after recently being named the biggest boyband in the world.

But despite the fact that their fans seemed to enjoy their performance, a survey has shown that the group hit the most bum notes out of everyone that performed during the final.

Mobile text question and answer service AQA 63336 had their researcher with perfect musical pitch make a list of all the bum notes of the final.

And it seems One Direction came out on top, singing a total of 23 bum notes during their performance of Kiss You.

Harry was the worst offender, hitting eight bum notes, followed suit by Liam with seven, Zayn with five and Niall with two bum notes.

And despite only having one solo line in the song, Louis still managed to hit one bad note.

But despite note being a hundred percent pitch perfect, One Direction still managed to delight the audience with their energetic performance.

Running around on stage followed by colourful laserlights, the stars were cheered on by the 10,000 fans in the arena.

The stars only recently returned from New York, where they performed a sold-out gig at the prestigious Madison Square Garden venue.

Their recent album, Take Me Home, topped the charts in over 30 countries, including the UK and the US.

James Arthur is celebrating on Monday after being crowned the winner of X Factor 2012.

The 24-year-old put in the performance of his life in front of 10,000 screaming fans in Manchester to beat Jahmene Douglas to the coveted title.

The Middlesborough-born singer earned a standing ovation from the judges and brought the house down with his incredible rendition of Shontelle hit Impossible, which is now odds-on to be the Christmas No.1 single.

After gaining 54 per cent of the public vote and being crowned the winner, James struggled to speak as he was interviewed by Dermot O'Leary.

He could only manage: 'Thank you, thank you so much. Have I really won? Wow. I don't know what to say.'

Runner-up Jahmene, who was also mentored by winning judge Nicole Scherzinger, was gallant in his defeat, and praised the show's victor, telling Dermot: 'It's such a blessing to even share a stage with such a talent, he's my idol.'

As the vote was announced, James looked stunned, before pulling in his competitor Jahmene for an emotional embrace.

Before performing his winner's single one more time, James told Dermot he is thrilled that the proceeds of the record are going to charity Together for Short Lives.

He said: 'I'm so pleased it's going to a good cause, thank you so much to everyone who voted for me - I'm so thankful.'

The X Factor victory then belted out the track, before being joined on stage by the majority of the rest of the show finalists, who hugged and jumped on James as they congratulated him.

Before the winner was announced, James and Jahmene had treated viewers and the judges to two incredible performances.

Former Asda worker Jahmene took to the stage first with his heartfelt rendition of Robbie Williams' Angels - a performance which left the panel gushing.

Tulisa told Jahmene that he sounded 'amazing', adding: 'I'm really happy you picked that song.'

Meanwhile, Louis Walsh tipped Jahmene to win the show, telling him: 'You are an incredible role model.'

Gary Barlow also acknowledged Jahmene's tough start in life, saying: 'You have been battling with your past and fighting for your future you have done it with such dignity and grace.

'Congratulations another stunning night for you.'

But Jahmene's mentor Nicole struggled to control her emotions following the performance, breaking down as she listened to him sing.

Following the song, Nicole told Jahmene: 'You just bring spirit and hope to this song when you sing I just feel safe. Your my role model you are like a beacon of light. I love you sweetie..'

James was next to take to the stage, performing his unique version of Marvin Gaye's Let's Get it On.

And the ladies' man couldn't resist a flirt with mentor Nicole during the peformance, holding her hand before moving on for a kiss with Tulisa.

After the rendition, Louis told him: 'You're original, you are real, you are honest.'

Tulisa was quick to liken herself to James, telling him: 'I am going to say something to you now, James, which I know you will understand... I get you.

Gary, who has previously backed James to win the show, said that he didn't need changing as an artist and he was 'ready right now' to release music.

He told him: 'I'm ready to download your album right away.'

And James' mentor Nicole, who added that she was 'humbled' and 'so blessed' to have worked with him, told the singer: 'I felt like I was seeing the future, like next year when you are on tour.'

The second performance from the two finalists saw them belt out their individual winner's singles, with Jahmene kicking things off with his version of The Beatles' classic Let It Be.

Poking fun at Nicole's now infamous made-up phrases, Tulisa then said: 'That was a jahmazing shasmoment'.

After performing the track, Jahmene was shown footage of his family talking about him, which left him in floods of tears.

There’s something special about Jahmene Douglas. Something you can’t quite put your finger on but everyone seems to sense it.

We’re sitting in The X Factor studio’s canteen, where the judges and contestants mill around before rehearsals.

Gary Barlow walks past. Stops. Places two hands on Jahmene’s shoulders. ‘Hello, you.’ His affection for this shy 21-year-old is writ large on his face. Louis Walsh, James Arthur (this year’s favourite) and several backstage crew are also drawn to Jahmene like teenage girls to a boy band.

Jahmene, you see, is different from the rest of us. He’s nicer, gentler. Take every Sunday’s live show when he hears he’s been voted through by the public. There’s no whooping or punching the air.

Instead, the former supermarket shelf-stacker, who happens to have a spine-tingling voice, looks as if he’s facing a life sentence. ‘I’m shocked, and I’m scared for everyone else,’ he says. ‘That’s why I’m not smiling.’

Hang on. Isn’t this the dog-eat-dog ITV talent show where you should be happy to see each rival struck out? Not Jahmene. He’s still upset by Ella Henderson’s exit three weeks ago - and regularly texts her.

‘She calls me her little chicken, and I call her my turkey,’ he says. ‘When I got my name called out, I couldn’t be happy because I knew James or Ella would be going home. It was shocking - for me they were the front-runners.’

Jahmene doesn’t have a nasty word to say about anyone. Not even (boo, hiss) Christopher Maloney. ‘He gets a lot of hate but he get a lot of votes, so it’s a balance.’

And James, who’s joining Chris and Jahmene in this weekend’s final, is ‘like a brother. He’s a mixed bag - either really confident or really quiet. He’s incredibly talented and has a lot of values, too. He agrees with a lot of the things I say.’

Indeed, Jahmene has a moral compass rarely found in the music industry today. But his values are bound up in the dreadful abuse he suffered as a child, which, he says, remains part of his DNA.

His father Eustace, who was eventually jailed, subjected the family to years of violence, including torturing Jahmene’s mother with a blowtorch. He beat Jahmene with a belt, strangled him and stuck a knife under his nails until they bled, to stop him biting them.

But the thing that’ll stay with him for ever are his mum’s screams while he was paralysed by fear. ‘When you hear your mother screaming for help you have to zone out and pray,’ he says. ‘It’s the only thing you can do when you can’t help.

‘I block it all out so it’s hard to remember stuff. But that last night, before my father was arrested for the blowtorch, that was the only time I thought: “I won’t see my mother in the morning.”

So, when you wake up - I didn’t wake up, actually, as I didn’t sleep - and your prayers have been answered because she’s alive, it shows no matter how bad things are, there’s always something to remind you that you can pull through.

‘But when you do go to the bottom of the bottom, you realise everything that is important. I’m not here for money and fame and all that stuff. I have my own priorities and try to keep myself grounded in what my mission is.’

Which is? ‘A lot of singers have forgotten they have a responsibility through influencing people - mainly the younger generation. So all these foul songs - they don’t realise how badly they’re poisoning children’s minds. I’m trying to bring back the class of the olden days and hopefully set some standards.’

In Ella’s last week, Jahmene, who doesn’t drink, refused to join the other contestants in performing Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night. He says: ‘The lyrics weren’t just about alcohol, they mentioned threesomes.

‘The first line was: “There’s a stranger in my bed.” I was thinking about Ella, who’s only 16, and how it would be for her to sing lyrics that open this whole world of ménage à trois, getting naked and drinking.

‘The contestants were 100 per cent behind me. So the production team changed the song. A song has to be something I feel deeply about. I’ve turned down a lot of songs because of the message.’

Jahmene is truly made of steel, despite appearing painfully nervous most of the time.

‘People who know me understand you can’t be a weak person to go through what I have,’ he says.

To get over stage nerves, he tells me, he goes into a bubble. ‘When I sing, I’m separating myself from everything else and trying to offer something else - a light or a beacon of some kind. That sort of cheesy line,’ he laughs in his self-conscious way.

‘It’s always been me trying to exude some kind of love, I suppose - just giving something to everyone else from here.’ He touches his heart.

Jahmene remembers singing from the age of eight. His mother, Mandy, whom he adores, says he sang as soon as he could speak, but Jahmene has blocked out much of his childhood.

‘When my dad used to leave the house, my sister and I would sing together and forget about everything. Everyone copes in different ways and you put up things to help yourself preconsciously.’

He is referring to memories of feelings that aren’t part of one’s immediate awareness but can be recalled through conscious effort. ‘Singing was my preconscious. It was important to have that sanctuary so you could focus on it when he was around, and block out what was happening.’

Jahmene’s older brother Daniel was unable to cope, and committed suicide four years ago. In his last note he urged Jahmene to ‘never stop singing’.

So Jahmene, then 17, posted a recording of His Eye Is On The Sparrow on YouTube.

When it was brought to the attention of X Factor producers, he was asked to audition.

‘I didn’t see past that audition,’ he says. ‘I just thought: “Go out there and sing and go home.” My eyes were closed for most of it. When I sing I always take myself to church and that bubble. It’s calm, a different plane.’

Without doubt, X Factor has given Jahmene untold confidence. ‘I think everything takes time,’ he says. ‘You can’t go from being in the depths straight to being strong - even now I’m learning.

When my father was around, you had to be a certain way. I wasn’t allowed to sing. I wasn’t allowed to do anything. He didn’t want us to go to church. He stopped us from going to Sunday school.

‘You get told what to do and how to act, so you don’t know how to act in public. I’m still growing. Before, I’d got this wall in the way, the wall of "you can’t" - but you can. And the other contestants care for you, they’re just there in that comforting, embracing way friends should be.

‘And I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor than Nicole [Scherzinger]. She phones me. She talks to me. She’s there, I think, more than any of the other judges are for their acts. She’s crazy in a good way. I’ve just fallen in love with her. She’s my big sister now.

‘Winning can mean a lot of things. There’s winning the competition, then there’s making an album and being successful - that’s the winning for me. If I’d left two weeks ago but made an album that was successful and made a difference, I would have won.

‘I’ve been asked by Women’s Aid (a domestic violence charity) to be an ambassador for children and young people - the first one they’ve had. That means a lot. It’s so exciting that I go to bed thinking about what I could do in that role. If I can inspire one person to have a lightbulb moment, to switch their life around and not disrespect themselves by doing things they shouldn’t . . .’

Then, throwing his arms wide open, he adds: ‘X Factor is just the pre-course. I’m waiting to step out onto the bridge of whatever is going to happen next.

‘When all hope was gone, I used to get on my knees and pray for the strength to change things. I think the fact I’m here now proves my prayers have been answered.
The X Factor is a massive platform to help change things for someone else.’

One last question: who do you want to win? ‘James,’ he says, without hesitation. And he genuinely means it.

The X Factor final is on ITV1 tomorrow at 8pm and Sunday at 7.40pm.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Harry opted for a skintight T-shirt in the same colour, matching outfits with his new love.

The couple reportedly began dating after running into each other backstage at a rehearsal for the US X Factor.

And with both stars being in New York at the moment for work commitments, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get to know each other even better.

They were first spotted together in public on Sunday, when they went for a romantic stroll through New York's iconic Central Park, although they were both joined by their entourage.

Since, Harry has been spotted emerging from the Love Story singer's hotel room several times this week, making no secret of their budding love affair.

The redhead singer was linked to Taylor himself after the pair worked together on a song for her new album.

And Taylor may have had a range of Hollywood A-list boyfriends - including Joe Jonas, Cory Monteith, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor Kennedy - she recently admitted she has no clue what she's doing when it comes to affairs of the heart.
