Keep on running: Katie Price fights through pain to limp round half marathon with bandaged leg - and cross the finishing line

She's never been one for quitting - well, perhaps apart from when it comes to marriage - but Katie Price has proved she has what it takes to soldier on in adversity when she finished a half marathon yesterday despite injuring herself.

The 32-year-old mother-of-three had to receive medical treatment after an old knee injury recurred when she was half way round the Silverstone Half Marathon which she was running to raise money for charity Vision.

Held at the historic race track, the star had even been training for the event by going running when she was on her recent hard-partying break in Los Angeles.

But she was left in agony and needed the joint bandaging up before she managed to hobble round to the end of the course, with help from her brother Daniel and sister Sophie.

Admittedly, the glamour model hasn't had much luck when it comes to long distances - and again, we are taking about running now.

Last year, she was planning an attempt at the London Marathon - but was advised to pull out before she even started on doctor's orders.

The star was then rumoured to be pregnant - and her preparation for the gruelling 26 mile race wasn't helped by the fact she already had a nagging knee injury and she'd only started training three weeks before.

And in 2009, Katie, ran the 2009 London Marathon with her then husband Peter Andre but took a massive 7 hours and 11 minutes as again, she was forced to limp round with her dodgy knee.

As yesterday, she ran it to raise money and awareness for charity Vision, inspired by her son Harvey, who is partially sighted.

She wrote on her Twitter after last night's run: 'Well done everyone who ran the silverstone half marathon from what I saw you were all fantasic and helped me get through to the end.

'I had amazing day with AMAZING people running for charities my knee has gone again but we all completed it.'

Then just before she turned in for the night at her Surrey mansion, she showed she was getting over her agony in her own inimitable way: 'Mmm in the jacuzzi chillaxing my legs and knee hurting haha then eating my roast dinner and getting my nails done haha x'

Katie had got them out earlier in the day - her claws that is - to hit back at reports that she'd flirted with actor Jamie Foxx at Elton John's Oscars party last week or that she cared one way or another about estranged husband Alex Reid.

Posting on her Twitter, she said: 'Such a shame a nice and innocent meeting with the charming gent jamie fox is turned into something sordid!!'

Talked about her estranged husband meanwhile, she added: 'What Alex does is none of my concern.'
