Katie Holmes takes her proud parents to see her win Women In Film award

Katie Holmes brought her parents along to a glitzy awards show last night.

The 32-year-old actress is seen here posing with her mother Kathleen and father Martin at the Women In Film Max Mara Face Of The Future Award presentation in Beverly Hills.

And it was clear to see the striking resemblance between Katie and her mum.

It was a big night for the former Dawson's Creek star, who picked up the Women in Film Face of the Future trophy.

The gong recognised her work in the industry and potential to have a long Hollywood career.

And clearly the star was keen for her philanthropist mother and divorce lawyer father to share in her success.

Katie, who is the youngest of five children, may have had her fair share of red carpet fashion disasters, but last night she looked a million dollars.

The mother of one was looking bronzed and beautiful, showing off her figure in a form-fitting black and white dress.

She teamed the short ensemble, which showed off the glowing skin and toned legs to full effect, with a pair of beige heels.

Speaking to the Press at the event, which was held in the Beverly Hilton Hotel's International Ballroom, Holmes said she would like to play 'someone glamorous, a combination of Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe'.

She said: 'They're very different but bring together in one character that ladylike feeling and that pain and also the strength. It's something I'm interested in exploring.'

Other attendees at the awards show included Annette Bening, who turned up alongside husband Warren Beatty.

Elle Fanning was another VIP, with the 13-year-old opting for a pretty turquoise prom dress.

And Brittany Snow, Rose McGowan, Cote de Pablo, Garcelle Beauvais and Jenna Elfman, were also at the ceremony.
