Coleen Rooney debuts her new shorter hairstyle as she enjoys date night with husband Wayne at Rihanna concert

New hair do: Coleen Rooney went for 'the chop' and showed off her new style as she arrived at the MEN Arena in Manchester


It was meant to a be a night of Rihanna and her music, but WAG Coleen Rooney made sure she stood out from the crowd when she arrived at the concert last night.

The wife of footballer, Wayne Rooney, turned up to the gig at the MEN Arena in Manchester showing off a new, shorter hairstyle.

Having taken to her Twitter page earlier on in the day to inform fans of her new do saying: 'I've gone for the CHOP!!! #newhaircut', the star obviously thought that a night out was the perfect opportunity to showcase her new look.


However, following her tweet, the 25-year-old then found herself replying to followers telling them that she had had it cut in a 'choppy bob' and that it wasn't 'too drastic.'

Wearing all black, the mother-of-one glammed up for the U.S. singers performance wearing smart shorts, a lacy long-sleeved top and patent stiletto heels.

Blackout: The 25-year-old wore an all dark outfit complete with thick tights and a pair of patent stilettos.

Obviously not brave enough to bare her legs in the cold, Coleen covered up by wearing a pair of thick black tights and carried a quilted clutch bag as she made her way to her seats in the arena.

Manchester United star, Wayne however, was not so glam opting for a more casual look to accompany his wife of three years on their night out.

Wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a long-sleeved khaki coloured top, the 25-year-old looked far from excited as he arrived to watch the S&M singer.

Perhaps his moody look was down to the fact that the spotlight was no longer on his new hair style, but there was something else in his possession that caught the camera's eye.

As the striker made his way into the venue, he was seen clutching his iPhone which appeared to be wearing a white case with the footballer's own picture on it - but this still didn't cheer him up.

But it seems that Wayne's bad mood didn't put a downer on Coleen's night, as the OK! magazine columnist tweeted later that night: 'At Rhianna concert and Calvin Harris has kicked the night off!!! MEN is bouncing!!! love it.'
