It's like watching the makeover episode of Britain's Next Top Model.

X Factor star Janet Devlin has undergone a further transformation to dye her cascading locks red.

The 16-year-old showcased a slight tinge of bronze on her mousy brown tresses last week, but now she's gone the full mile.

But it doesn't appear the stylists had to coerce her into anything she didn't already want to do.

The hopeful, who has already amassed over 60,000 followers on Twitter, said she was elated with the change even if a particular fan wasn't.

After someone quipped, 'cant believe @JanetJealousy died her hair!!', she replied: 'Sorry :( But I've always wanted copper hair .... :P'

Her image overhaul appears to have extended beyond the barnet and seeped into Janet's clothes too.

The young student from Omagh was seen arriving at Fountain Studios for rehearsals ahead of the first live show on Saturday in shiny black lycra.

She also donned a Jimi Hendrix T-shirt showcasing his San Francisco show from 1968 - nearly three decades before she was born.

Rival Johnny Robinson, from the Over 25s category, had also spruced up his appearance, wearing some flashy trainers more akin to Jedward.

His multi-coloured shoes were teamed with trendy jeans that once upon a time he would not have been able to afford from his Harrow bedsit.

Before their venture to the studios, the finalists were treated to some A-list grooming as they were taken to have their teeth whitened.
