But there were no airs or graces tonight as the stars descended on Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell's post-ceremony reception.
The low-key event was held at their St John's Wood home in London, with the likes of Ronnie Wood and model Twiggy flocking to the festivities.
Daughter Stella McCartney was also there with her own child Bailey, five.
The designer created Nancy's wedding outfit today, while photographer sister Mary was snapping pictures of the happy couple.
Never one to turn down a party, fellow musician Ronnie Wood turned up looking typically dapper with a young brunette companion.
Mary, 42, is the first biological child of Paul and first wife Linda, who passed away in 1998.
