Sibling style: Pippa, right wore a cream coloured coat similar to one Kate has worn, left, to her seventh wedding of the year
Pippa Middleton attended her seventh wedding of the year yesterday – and appeared to be taking a leaf from her sister’s style book.
The glamorous Royal bridesmaid wrapped up on a frosty afternoon in Melton, Suffolk, in a cream wool coat with velvet detail by London-based designer Katherine Hooker, whose immaculately tailored pieces are popular with the Duchess of Cambridge.
The fitted £725 coat is similar to one Kate has been pictured wearing on several occasions, including her first public engagement in Anglesey in February.
Pippa, who teamed the coat with suede accessories and a satin fascinator, arrived without a date for the candlelit wedding of her Edinburgh University friends Georgina Hewlett and the Honourable Benjamin Fitzherbert, having split from her long-term boyfriend Alex Loudon last month.
But the 28-year-old was joined by two former flames – banking heir JJ Jardine Paterson, whom she dated for more than three years, and former flatmate George Percy, son of the Duke of Northumberland.
One source said: ‘It was a great chance for them all to catch up. Pippa didn’t seem to mind being alone. She waved the car off after the service and looked really happy to be there.
Georgina is one of her good friends – they were roommates at Edinburgh in the first year.’
A friend added: ‘Pippa’s playing the dating game and having fun. She’s in no hurry to settle down.’
To cap her impressive year of nuptials, Pippa has been invited to Holly Branson’s wedding next weekend on her Virgin tycoon father’s private Necker Island.
