Loved up couple: Brad Pitt tenderly put his arm around Angelina Jolie as they sat in the audience at the Cinema For Peace Gala in Berlin tonight

They are one of Hollywood's most talked about couples and tonight Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt proved just how much in love they are.

The pair were spotted enjoying an intimate moment at the Cinema For Peace Gala ceremony held on the fifth day of the Berlin International Film Festival.

Minutes later as the 36-year-old was announced winner of an award, Pitt looked every inch the proud partner as he gazed at the brunette while applauding her.

The mother-of-six was beaming as she held up her arm to make herself known and then made her way to the stage.

The organization of Cinema for Peace award again outstanding films that are directed against human rights abuses, war and genocide, and awarded Jolie for her film In The Land Of Blood And Honey.

The actress gave a short speech and posed with her accolade before returning to her table and no doubt more praise from Pitt.

Despite wearing a gold glittery number at the weekend, Jolie reverted back to her smart look for tonight's occasion.

The actress opted for a light grey silk cashmere herringbone tailored pencil dress by Ralph & Russo to attend the ceremony.

The fitted garment was a far cry from the glamorous number she wore to the premiere of her directorial debut In The Land Of Blood And Honey on Saturday night.

The mother-of-six wouldn't have looked out of place in an office in her choice of attire but the accessory on her arm might have.

Joining Jolie on the carpet was her partner Brad Pitt, who had returned from a flying visit to London where he attended the Baftas last night.

Wearing a smart black suit complete with a tie and a matching winter coat, the 48-year-old looked pleased to be back with Jolie and didn't seem at all bothered about losing out on an award yesterday

Say cheese! The Hollywood couple were more than happy to stop and sign autographs for waiting fans

Before making their way inside, the Hollywood couple were more than happy to stop and sign autographs for waiting fans, and Jolie even sported a huge grin for the crowd.

The pair were attending the Cinema for Peace Gala and were joined by the cast of In The Land Of Blood And Honey, who Jolie took the time to pose with.

However, she wasn't the only attendee who chose to wear the bland colour as actress Michelle Yeoh also opted for a floor-length grey dress, but the silky material of hers added a glamorous touch.

Adding a splash of colour: The actresses dress actually looked bright compared to the cast of her film (L-R) Rade Srbedzija, Zana Marjanovic, Vanesa Glodjo and Goran Kostic

She teamed the garment with a grey blazer and peep toe heels whil carrying a simple black clutch bag and spent time posing for photos with French film director Luc Besson and his wife Virginie.

Another famous face who wore a rather plain dress was singer Katie Melua.

The dark-haired star showed off her slender figure in a floor-length navy blue number which she teamed with a black ruffled bolero.

The slim star wore an odd black dress that featured a plunging neckline and pom-pom style detailing at the bottom.

Also wearing black was Bob Geldof who chose smart velvet trousers, shiny shoes and a flat cap.

But no doubt all eyes were on Jolie and Pitt as they worked the red carpet.

The Tomb Raider star recently admitted that she is nervous and excited about the upcoming premiere of her Bosnian war movie in Sarajevo.

The drama is set to make its full debut in the Bosnian capital tomorrow, and follows a Serbian soldier who finds his ex-lover, a Muslim Bosnian woman, among sex slaves in a camp.

'I'm nervous and I'm excited. I'll probably cry through the entire thing, she said speaking at a photocall in Berlin.

'I'll be very, very moved because, of course, a lot of the people coming are the victims of war so it's going to be heavy.'

Jolie revealed that "it didn't take much for me to be driven" while she was directing the film, noting that some of her cast lived through the 1992-95 war in Bosnia.
