Katie Price poses with a drag queen at charity gala... can you spot the difference?

By Daily Mail Reporter

Bigger is better: Katie Price poses with friend Jodie Harsh at a charity gala last night, and tweeted that she was envious of Jodie's hair

She is usually the centre of attention at any party - with the biggest hair, shortest dress and brightest fake tan.

But Katie Price had some competition last night from Jodie Harsh, whose own purple bouffant, heavy make-up and eye-catching frock threatened to eclipse Katie's star power.

The reality star was clearly not in a competitive mood though, and cheerily posed for a picture with the drag queen.

The glamour model posed back to back with Harsh, gazing seductively for the camera. She wrote: 'I'm with @jodieharsh her hair is so much bigger and better than mine haha.'

But the 33-year-old was hardly a wallflower with her sparkly red mini dress, over-the-top hair and glittering silver nails.

Katie was a guest at a charity gala in central London last night and twinkled and glittered as she flashed her crystal fingertips to the cameras.

nails as she posed for the cameras with boyfriend Leandro Penna at the charity gala

With her Argentinian boyfriend Leandro Penna standing proudly by her side, Katie posed for pictures outside the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand.

She was among the guests attending the Friends For Life gala dinner thrown by Stephen Fry in aid of the Terrance Higgins Trust.

Katie also invited her close friends Phil Turner and Gary Cockerill, who are always at her side, and who shared her table last night.

Sparkly: Clutching a friend's hand, Katie dazzled in her red dress as she left the dinner and went on to a private member's club

En route to the dinner, she excitedly took to her Twitter page and wrote: 'On way to stephen frys friends for life gala dinner for terence higgins trust with leo gary phil.'

Also attending the bash was comedian David Walliams and his model wife Lara Stone, actor Ian McKellan and celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.

The host himself, a prolific Tweeter, took to his page on the social networking site to comment on the evening.

And according to Mr Fry, Katie seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself and took to the dance floor for a boogie to the live band, 80s pop stars Bucks Fizz.

He wrote: 'At the THT fundraising gala. Made my speech. We're now being treated to Buck's Fizz singing land of make believe.

'David and Lara Walliams are dancing. So, it appears, is Katie Price.

'Nigella and I are refraining. If Ian McKellen does, I will.'

And as Bucks Fizz began their song that helped them win the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981, he added: 'OMG it's "Making Your Mind Up" - the Royal Courts Of Justice have never rocked like this before ...'

Out with her boys: Katie gripped Leandro's hand as they arrived at the club but held hands with Phil Turner as they left a few hours later

But the night didn't end there for Katie, who took her entourage on to the private members' club The Brompton Club in South Kensington.

And as she went to the ladies to freshen up, she took to her Twitter page to keep her followers updated on her night out.

She Tweeted a picture of herself holding a bottle of liquid soap and wrote: 'Omg I'm in the toilets with tania who owns baylis and harding and we just spotted the handwash in toilets haha.'

Katie looked as though she was having a great time, putting the embarrassment of the previous day behind her.

According to reports, she was left feeling awkward and red-faced when barely a handful of of potential contestants turned up to audition for her latest television show at the Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush, London.

Expecting hundreds of wannabes to queue for a spot on her find-a-model programme, her aides put up crowd control barriers.

But unfortunately, as the glamour model sat on an X Factor-style panel, organisers were reduced to begging random shoppers to join in.
