Happy shoppers: Pink and Carey make their way to the Farmers Market where they bought a selection of edible delicacies to take home with them

She's never been one to sugar coat her words, and it would seem motherhood is no exception for chart topper, Pink.

Shedding light on her experiences as a new parent, she treated her fans to a few gory truths about her new role via Twitter on Tuesday.

Comparing her domesticated new life to her former rock star ways, Pink, 31, playfully wrote: 'My life was once whiskey, tears, and cigarettes … now it’s snot, tears, and the colour of poop. #bliss'

She later joked: 'I do miss the whiskey though :)'

Fortunately, it would seem the The Raise Your Glass singer and her husband are taking it all in their stride.

The pair took their tiny daughter out to a Farmers Market in Santa Monica yesterday and were a picture of happiness.

Doting father, Carey Hart, 35, could barely takes his eyes off Willow as he carried her around the market, holding her close to his chest.

Meanwhile, his superstar wife strolled along beside him, laughing and joking as they browsed around the market stalls, picking up a few goodies to take home with them.

And judging from the mile wide smile on Pink's glowing face, humour could well be the key to their family's happiness, proving it will take a lot more than snot, tears and poop to get the better of them.
